Jaipur: In a major crackdown launched after the recent Kho Nagoriyan explosion that claimed eight lives, Jaipur East Police Friday seized more than 50 kg of explosive material from a house in Javed Nagar Colony. A criminal case against the property owners was filed. Both the accused are currently absconding.Following the tragedy, Jaipur Police intensified inspections, door-to-door surveys, and search operations across the area to identify similar stockpiles.Acting on the directions of senior police officers, including DCP Jaipur East Ranjita Sharma, a team led by Kho Nagoriyan SHO Prakash Ram conducted searches in Javed Nagar Colony and recovered explosive material from a house owned by Abdul Jabbar Ansari and Mohammad Firoz Ansari.Officials said nearly 25 police personnel participated in the operation, which forms part of an ongoing verification drive aimed at preventing a recurrence of the deadly explosion and curbing illegal storage of firecrackers in residential areas.
