A traffic police officer in Kishangarh allegedly slapped an advocate during a dispute over vehicle parking.

JAIPUR: A traffic police officer allegedly slapped an advocate during a dispute over vehicle parking in Rajasthan’s Kishangarh, prompting lawyers to stage a protest and block a road for about an hour, officials said on Saturday.The incident occurred on City Road on Friday evening. Advocate Babulal Bagaria said he had parked his vehicle near the market to buy vegetables. When he returned, traffic Circle Officer Anju Yadav questioned him about parking there.Bagaria said he apologised and assured the officer that he would not park at the spot again. However, he alleged that she took his vehicle key, slapped him and threatened him.A video of the incident has surfaced, purportedly showing the officer slapping the advocate.Following the incident, members of the Bar Association gathered in the main market and demanded the officer’s suspension. They blocked City Road for around an hour, affecting traffic in the area.City Circle Officer Dharmraj Choudhary and police personnel from three police stations reached the spot and held discussions with the protesters.The lawyers called off the protest after police persuaded them to clear the road.
