Jaipur: University of Rajasthan, UEM, Jaipur, Periyar University and Saurashtra University, Rajkot stormed into the quarterfinals of the ongoing All India Inter-University Handball Men tournament at the University Sports Complex here on Thursday.The five-day tourney is being organised by the University of Rajasthan Sports Board in which top sixteen teams from across the country are participating.In the third and final league match, University of Rajasthan thumped Annamalai University, Chidambaram 40-31 after leading 19-12 at the half-time. Dinesh was the top-scorer with eight goals. Sumit, Mohit and Jasman contributed five goals each.Amritsar’s GNDU dominated from the word go to oust Manipur University 36-18, thanks to a nine-goal effort from Harshdeep.In a high-scoring encounter, UEM Jaipur defeated VIT Vellore 50-24.
