Jaipur: The Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) Tuesday launched a three-day checking drive across the state from Sept 8 to 10 to curb revenue leakage and arrest the decline in passenger numbers.As part of the drive, check posts are being set up at locations identified by roadways depots to inspect buses and monitor traffic operations. Inspections began on Amer Road in Jaipur, where roadways teams checked buses and reviewed traffic arrangements.Roadways headquarters has directed all chief managers to set up check posts at designated locations under their respective depots. Depot managers, traffic inspectors and assistant traffic inspectors have been assigned duties at the posts and instructed to remain present to ensure proper checking and traffic supervision.According to an order issued by roadways headquarters, the corporation has recorded a significant decline in passenger load, prompting the checking drive. Roadways executive director (traffic) Vinod Purohit directed chief managers to take necessary action during the campaign.The drive aims to increase passenger numbers and curb revenue leakage.
