Jaipur: The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) senior and junior men’s selection committees have been formed here on Tuesday.Vijender Yadav has been appointed as chairperson of the seniors, while Amar Singh Negi has been named as the chairperson of the juniors.The RCA ad hoc committee convenor Mohit Jaswant Yadav, members Ashish Tiwari, Dhananjai Singh Khimsar, Sushil Jain and Arisht Singhvi constituted the senior and junior men’s selection panels to select the probables of the Rajasthan team participating in various age group competitions of the upcoming BCCI domestic cricket season.According to Yadav, for the pre-preparations of BCCI’s men’s competitions of various age groups, Rajasthan Cricket Association will organise state level senior, Under-23, Under-19, Under-16 and Under-14 competitions and activities and after observing the talent and performance of the players in the competitions and reviewing them thoroughly, RCA senior and junior men’s selection committees will pick the probables for the Rajasthan team.According to ad hoc member Dhananjai Singh Khimsar, the RCA ad hoc committee had invited online applications from former players of the state for the formation of Rajasthan Senior and Junior Men’s Selection Committee, out of which applicants fulfilling all the criteria for becoming a member of the selection committee were invited by the RCA for interview in a completely transparent manner. After completion of all the procedures, on Tuesday the RCA ad hoc committee unanimously constituted the Rajasthan Senior and Junior Men’s Selection Committee for the BCCI domestic cricket season 2026-27.According to ad hoc committee member Ashish Tiwari, the association wants to provide a completely transparent and robust sports environment and a completely safe platform to the young talented players of the state in accordance with the performance of the selection process, for which the committee has given special importance to experienced and young selectors in the selection committee and it will be the responsibility of the selection committee to observe the performance of the young talented players of the state, do a thorough review and select the players on the basis of performance and select a strong Rajasthan teams so that the state teams can perform brilliantly in the BCCI competition and bring laurels to the state.According to RCA Adhoc Committee member Arisht Singhvi, it is the full effort of the Rajasthan Cricket Association Adhoc Committee to provide maximum opportunities to the players of the state before the BCCI national competitions and they should get the opportunity to showcase their performance in competitions of every format as per the competitions.
