Jaipur: Players from the Sawai Mansingh Stadium-based Rajasthan Squash Academy delivered an outstanding performance at the Eastern Grand Slam 2026 Squash Championship held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, winning a total of five medals, including one gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.Academy director Surbhi Misra said on Monday that in the tournament held from June 22 to 27, academy player Dhairya Gogia defeated Maharashtra’s Aaron Arambhan 11-2, 7-11, 11-3, 13-11 in the final to win gold in the Boys Under-13 category.Earlier, Dhairya beat Ridan Gupta 11-3, 12-10, 11-3 in the semifinals to reach the final. In the Girls Under-11 final, Rajasthan’s Gauravi Ajmera settled for silver after a tough five-set loss to Sameeksha Sugumar, 2-11, 11-9, 5-11, 11-6, 6-11.Another player in the same age group, Inaya Andrabi, finished fourth. In the bronze-medal match, Jharkhand’s Avisha Agarwal outwitted Inaya 14-12, 11-6, 6-11, 11-6.In Boys Under-11, Yuvan Verma upset top seed Agastya Uppal 14-12, 6-11, 11-4, 12-10 to enter the final, but lost to Rudransh Prabhakar 11-6, 11-4, 9-11, 7-11, 11-8, in the final to settle for a silver.Academy’s Divyanshi Jain won bronze in Girls Under-15 and Fareed Andrabi in Boys Under-16. Divyanshi ousted Trisha Shah 11-1, 11-6, 11-3 in the bronze-medal match, while Fareed beat Maharashtra’s Rishabh Shyam 11-3, 11-9, 12-10. In the same age group, academy player Prabhav Bajoria finished seventh.
