JAIPUR: Three youths on a pilgrimage to Salasar Balaji were killed after being run over by a vehicle near Salasar in Rajasthan’s Churu district, police said on Saturday.The accident occurred late Friday night, about a kilometre from the Salasar Balaji temple, police said.The deceased were identified as Rajesh Bhargava, 27, Natwar Bhargava, 29, and Vikram Bhargava, 24, Salasar police station SHO Shankal Lal Bhari said.The three were part of a group of around 80 people who had set out on foot from Jayal for Salasar Balaji on September 10.On Friday night, the pilgrims stopped at Ganeri, around 11 kilometres from Salasar, to rest. However, the three youths went ahead to reach Salasar during the night, police said.A case has been registered, and efforts are underway to trace the unidentified vehicle.Police are also examining CCTV footage from the area, the SHO told news agency PTI.(With agency inputs)
