Alwar: A fire broke out in two factories in Bhiwadi’s UIT industrial area Thursday, allegedly following a blast in an oil tanker kept atop one of the units.The incident occurred around 2pm at Ramco Metal Factory, where an oil tanker reportedly exploded, triggering a fire that quickly spread to the neighbouring Alshok LLP unit. Two employees of Ramco sustained burn injuries and were admitted to a private hospital for treatment.An employee of Alshok LLP Ravi Rogha said the fire originated from the oil tanker on the roof of the adjacent factory before spreading to their premises.At the time of the incident, around a dozen workers were inside the factory. Employees were evacuated through a rear exit, while some escaped by climbing over the boundary wall, officials said.Three fire tenders rushed to the spot and launched firefighting operations to bring the blaze under control. Police personnel from Bhiwadi also reached the site and began collecting details about the incident.Officials said Ramco Metal Factory manufactures iron sheets, while Alshok LLP is engaged in the production of cosmetic goods.The exact cause of the blast is yet to be ascertained, and further investigation is underway.
