Jaipur: Bisalpur water supply will be disrupted in the state capital and in a few pockets of Jaipur district Monday evening for around five hours as Surajpura pump house and the filter pump in Bisalpur will remain shut.Officials of the public health engineering department (PHED) claimed that the Rajasthan State Electricity Transmission Corporation Limited will take a three-hour power shutdown from 11am to 2pm for preventive maintenance of equipment installed at 132 KV GSS Thadoli.“As a result of this, our pump house and water treatment plant will remain closed. Consequently, there will be partial disruptions in the evening in selected areas of Jaipur and in a few pockets of the Jaipur district,” said Shubhanshu Dixit, additional chief engineer of Jaipur II.Officials said that in Jaipur city, the supply will be affected in the Pratapnagar, Sanganer, Durgapura, Malviya Nagar, Bapu Nagar, Barkat Nagar, Civil Line, Jyoti Nagar, Sindhi Colony, Adarsh Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, Mansarovar, Shyamnagar, Vidyut Nagar, Jhotwara, Vidyadhar Nagar, Murlipura, Shastri Nagar, Gopalbadi, Banipark, Ambabari, Jagatpura, Kho Nagorian, Indira Gandhi Nagar, Jamdoli, Subhashnagar, Sitapura, and Prithviraj Nagar areas. “Normal situation will be restored on Tuesday morning,” said a PHED engineer.
