Jaipur: Police here Friday arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly raping his 17-year-old neighbour after entering her house when she was alone on Sept 16.The accused allegedly threatened the girl when she resisted and warned her against disclosing the incident. The girl later told her family, following which she approached police with them and lodged a complaint. He was produced before the court Saturday, which sent him to judicial custody.According to police, the accused lived near the girl’s house and knew her. After learning that her family members had gone out, he allegedly entered the house and assaulted her. Police said he also threatened to kill her if she spoke about the incident.The girl underwent a medical examination and her statement was recorded before police arrested the accused under the POCSO Act. He was produced before a court on Saturday afternoon and sent to judicial custody.
