Jaipur: A joint team from Rajasthan Police Cyber Crime Unit and Jaipur West police Wednesday busted an international fake call centre and arrested 14 people in Bindayaka. The suspects allegedly posed as Apple customer support representatives to scam victims in the US.

During the raid on the flat, police seized 13 laptops, 24 mobile phones, routers, SIM cards and other equipment.DCP (West) Prashant Kiran said that the suspects sent text messages to US targets, falsely claiming that charges ranging from USD 399 to 699 had been approved for Apple products or services. Once targets responded, the group defrauded them.The joint operation was launched following a tip-off about the illegal operation.A case has been registered, and 14 suspects have been taken into custody for investigation.Police identified the suspects as Gohil Nikunj, Wahid, Rahees, Irshad, Mohammed Inam Hussain Chaudhary, Saurabh Sharma, Nishith, Manas Khataniyar, Akshay Narayan Bhai Patel, Shrey Bhardwaj, Gagan Pal, Shivam Prajapati, Dev and Darpan.Police identified the suspects as Gohil Nikunj, Wahid, Rahees, Irshad, Mohammed Inam Hussain Chaudhary, Saurabh Sharma, Nishith, Manas Khataniyar, Akshay Narayan Bhai Patel, Shrey Bhardwaj, Gagan Pal, Shivam Prajapati, Dev and Darpan.
