Jaipur: A 57-year-old dairy operator died after a black SUV allegedly rammed his scooter in Sanganer early Saturday, with CCTV footage now prompting police to examine whether the collision was deliberate.Naval Sharma, a resident of Buddhsinghpura, was riding towards his dairy around 6am Saturday when the SUV approached from behind. Footage shows the vehicle moving towards the scooter before hitting Sharma and speeding away without stopping. Sharma was taken to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.The footage has become a key part of the investigation, with police examining cameras along the route to trace the SUV and establish the circumstances leading to the collision. Teams have also been formed to identify the vehicle and its driver.The CCTV raises the possibility that the SUV may have been deliberately steered towards Sharma, but the footage by itself does not establish the driver’s intent. Investigators are therefore examining footage from before and after the collision to determine whether the vehicle had been following Sharma or whether its movement towards the scooter was caused by the driver losing control.Police are also working to establish the vehicle’s route after the collision and identify any other footage that could shed light on what happened.
