Jaipur: A 37-year-old man and his 18-year-old son were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Hanumangarh district Sunday, with police suspecting suicide by poisoning.The deceased were identified as Chotu Ram, who worked as registered medical practitioner of alternative medicines, and his son Manoj, a student. According to police, the two travelled to Rawatsar on a motorcycle earlier in the day. While Chotu Ram’s body was discovered inside a small room located on a farmland plot, his son Manoj’s body was found outside.Rawatsar police said preliminary investigation suggests the duo may have consumed a poisonous substance—possibly fertiliser. Police said Chotu Ram was dealing with personal issues since the recent death of his wife. “Neighbours and relatives mentioned that the family was under stress. The deaths appear to be intentional, but we are awaiting the postmortem reports and further statements from relatives,” the officer added.No suicide note was found at the scene, police said. tnn
