Jaipur: CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, BJP state president Madan Rathore and Deputy CM Diya Kumari were among several BJP functionaries who participated in a ‘Tiranga Yatra‘ the party organised in the city Thursday in honour of the armed forces who executed ‘Operation Sindoor‘.In a spectacular display of communal harmony, hundreds of members of the Muslim community welcomed the march at Jama Masjid. The march started at Albert Hall and ended at Badi Chaupad after passing through New Gate, Bapu Bazaar and Sanganeri Gate.“Our Army entered 500 km inside Pakistan to destroy terrorist hubs while Pakistan only fired firecrackers, showcasing their lack of military skill,” said Rathore after the march reached Badi Chaupad. “This march is not of any political party but is for every citizen of the state in honour of the armed forces. Patriotism is equally important for both ruling and opposition parties. Congress leaders should have participated in it,” he added.The CM said, “The anger in the hearts of the citizens after the Pahalgam attack was pacified by our Army’s attack on terrorist bases. This is new India, where those aiding terrorists are given a fitting response. A new image of India has emerged under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership. Indian Army has shown we are second to none. Our Army taught a lesson to those aiding terrorists. Pakistan has understood this is a changed India with a strong leadership.Slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ were chanted at Sanganeri Gate, Johri Bazaar and Jama Masjid as the Tiranga Yatra passed through those sites. The march was welcomed by a showering of flower petals.Cong slams BJP MLA for disrespect to TricolourJaipur: Congress slammed BJP MLA Balmukundacharya Thursday for wiping the sweat on his face with the national flag he was carrying during the ‘Tiranga Yatra’.“The Tricolour, for which our brave soldiers sacrifice their lives, is being used by BJP MLA Balmukundacharya to wipe his nose. This is not just double standards by BJP members but a betrayal for the country and the Constitution. It is an insult to millions of martyrs who laid down their lives in the Tricolour’s honour. MLA Balmukundacharya should apologise,” said Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully.Attacking the Hawa Mahal MLA, Congress chief whip Rafeek Khan said, “The BJP MLA is wiping his nose with the Tricolour. This is a public insult to our national flag and a serious offence. MLA Balmukundacharya should apologise.”Jaipur city Congress president RR Tiwari said the MLA insulted the nation by wiping his sweat with the Tricolour. “I urge BJP’s state president to expel the MLA from the party and take stricter action,” he added.
