Jaipur: Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Sunday flagged off 144 new Rajasthan Roadways buses from the Heerapura Bus Terminal on Ajmer Road, saying the expansion of the state’s public transport network reflects the BJP govt’s commitment to improving connectivity across Rajasthan.After performing a ceremonial puja, Sharma interacted with bus drivers and said the new fleet would enhance connectivity and provide safer, more convenient travel to lakhs of passengers. “Our priority is to ensure transport facilities reach every corner of Rajasthan. The operation of these 144 new buses will provide better travel facilities to lakhs of passengers,” he said.The CM said the state govt has strengthened public transport while improving the financial health of the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC). “Through effective management, transparent functioning and financial discipline, Rajasthan Roadways has emerged from losses and is now running at a profit. We have also ensured timely payment of salaries to Roadways employees,” he said.
