Kota: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Kota, Wednesday arrested an assistant sub-inspector (ASI), posted at Bhimganjmandi Police Station, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000. The accused has been identified as Ravindra Yadav.Deputy superintendent of police (ACB) Chandra Kanwar said the complainant approached the bureau regarding continuous harassment by the ASI and stated an assault case had been filed against him and his parents following a dispute with neighbours. He alleged that he was not even present at the spot during the incident and that his parents were old and innocent, yet the officer demanded a bribe to clear their names.Yadav had already extorted Rs 35,000 from the complainant earlier and was persistently demanding an additional Rs 30,000. The accused was produced before an ACB court Thursday and the court sent him to judicial custody.
