Jaipur: With the aim of reaching the maximum people for this year’s Army Day Parade, three full rehearsals starting from Jan 9 are being organised, which the public can attend. The parade rehearsal on Jan 9 will be dedicated to women, and the state govt is preparing to ensure that girls and women from different institutions are able to attend it.The home department in the state has instructed all departments concerned to ensure maximum participation of women and girls and to encourage them to watch the parade. On Sunday, chief secretary V Srinivas visited the venue on Mahal Road, Jagatpura, to review preparations. He gave necessary instructions to officials on the spot for successful conduct of the event. “The Army Day Parade being held in Jaipur is a matter of pride for the entire state, and it should be organised in a manner befitting its national importance. Govt of Rajasthan will provide full cooperation for the successful conduct of the Army Day Parade-2026,” said the CS. On Saturday, a high-level coordination and review meeting was chaired by additional chief secretary (home) Bhaskar A Sawant. Jaipur district collector Jitendra Kumar Soni said at the meeting that seating arrangements and entry and exit routes for spectators in Jaipur were being prapared. He urged all educational institutions and organisations to provide the number and details of participants attending the parade by Monday.Officials said that the state govt is focusing on ensuring that many young people preparing for army recruitment and other military exams, as well as students studying in colleges, universities, and schools, are able to attend the parade.
