Udaipur: An one-year-old girl was burnt alive and four others injured after the car in which they were travelling overturned and caught fire in Rajsamand late Wednesday night.Station house officer of Amet police station Om Singh Chundawat said the family of four and driver was travelling to Railmagra (Rajsamand) after visiting Khatu Shyam ji. The passengers were Vikas Jain (32), his wife Rajeshwari Jain, their two daughters Dhanishtha (4) and Pranidhi (1) and driver Kaluram. Pranidhi died from burns in the accident. As soon as the car overturned, it caught fire within seconds, leaving no time for the occupants to get out. Local people pulled everyone out from the midst of the fire, Chundawat said.Local people said that the family was trapped so badly in the car that it took about one hour to extract them. Meanwhile, Pranidhi died before she could be taken out. All injured in the accident were referred to hospital. The condition of the driver and Dhanishtha remained critical.
