Jaipur: Jaipur’s talented squash player Divyanshi Jain won the Under-13 girls category title at the Scottish Open Squash in Edinburgh on Tuesday.This is Divyanshi’s second international title in a month. She had also won the Kuala Lumpur Open earlier this month.

The 12-year-old Divyanshi won the title by defeating India’s Shanaya Parasrampuria 11-5, 11-9, 11-5 in straight sets in the title clash of the tournament on Tuesday.Surbhi Misra, director of the Rajasthan Squash Academy at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, said that Divyanshi, the country’s number one player in the U-13 group, was given top seeding in the tournament and she proved it right by not losing a single set on her way to crown.She began her campaign by ousting Scotland’s Jessica Craig in straight sets 11-3, 11-5, 11-2 in the first round. Divyanshi then sidelined England’s Sarah Ibrahim 11-1, 11-3, 11-6 in the second round and Qatar’s Joy Makaryus 11-3, 11-2, 11-4 in the third round.In the semi-finals, she got the better of Scotland’s Tallinn Bedair 11-0, 11-2, 11-0 to make it to the finals.
