Jaipur: State govt Wednesday promoted 61 IAS officers, including four to additional chief secretary level (pay scale of chief secretary, IAS), and 40 IPS officers, with two of the 2001 batch—Prafulla Kumar and Raghavendra Suhasa—promoted from inspector general (IG) rank to additional director general (ADG) rank. Nine IPS officers were promoted to rank of IG, while 11 officers were elevated to rank of DIG. Along with this, 23 IFS officers were also promoted by the govt.The four IAS officers promoted to ACS level are all from the 1996 batch. They are Ajitabh Sharma, who is now ACS (energy); Dinesh Kumar, who is now ACS (administrative reforms and coordination); Rajesh Kumar Yadav, who is ex-officio ACS (training) and remains director general of HCM RIPA, and Alok Gupta, who continues to be chairman of Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board.IAS Arvind Kumar Poswal was promoted from joint secretary to CM to special secretary to CM, and Nathmal Didel promoted from joint secretary, finance (taxation), to position of special secretary.Two IAS officers, Naveen Jain and KK Pathak (proforma promotion), were promoted from secretary to principal secretary. They were promoted from the Super Time pay scale of IAS to Above Super Time pay scale (Level 15 in the pay matrix). Jain is now principal secretary in charge of GAD and Cabinet.Eleven IAS officers were promoted from Selection Pay Scale to Super Time Pay Scale (Level 14 in pay matrix), 22 were promoted from Junior Administrative Pay Scale of IAS to Selection Pay Scale (Level 13 in pay matrix).
