Jaipur: A Jaipur-based real estate developer has accused officials of Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) of forging land records and illegally altering ownership details of about 3.14 hectares of land in Jayasinghpura Bas village near Bhankrota.Raj Darbar Pinkcity Developers Pvt Ltd said it had purchased the agricultural land in 2005 through registered sale deeds. In a complaint submitted to the authorities, the company alleged that in Jan 2021, JDA officials prepared a land division document without its consent to change khata numbers and land areas in official records. The complaint claimed the document carried neither official approval nor a reference number. “The step led to the division of land into smaller parts and an illegal alteration in ownership,” it stated, demanding disciplinary and criminal action against the officials involved and restoration of the original land records.Responding to the allegations, JDA officials said the complaint would be examined as per procedure by the concerned zone officials. “The problem is that the complaint mentions an incident that took place in 2021. Most officials posted with JDA at that time have since been transferred to other zones or to entirely different departments or wings of the state govt,” an official said.
