Range of incentives under new film promotion policy

Jaipur: State govt Wednesday unveiled Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy 2025, aimed at transforming the state into a premier filming destination. The policy offers up to 30% subsidy on expenses for shooting feature films, web series, TV serials, and documentaries, with maximum subsidies capped at Rs 3 crore for feature films, Rs 2 crore for web series, Rs 1.5 crore for TV serials, and Rs 2 crore for documentaries.Releasing the policy in Jhunjhunu’s Mandawa, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma emphasised that the initiative will not only position Rajasthan as a filming hub but also create employment and skill development opportunities. Deputy CM and tourism minister Diya Kumari said smooth implementation of the policy will be ensured by simplifying administrative procedures.

To avail of the subsidy, a minimum expenditure in the state will be mandatory at Rs 2 crore for feature films, while Rs 1 crore will be required for web series, TV serials, and Rajasthani language films.In addition, scholarships will be given to Rajasthan residents studying or training at Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata, and National School of Drama, New Delhi. Ten students will be selected each year and provided with 100% tuition fees, assistance up to Rs 50,000, and a stipend up to Rs 5,000 per month.It will be mandatory for all subsidy-receiving films to give credit to state govt and tourism department.
