Jaipur: Walled City was choc-a-bloc with tourists Saturday, with prominent tourist destinations, including City Palace, Nahargarh Fort and Amer Fort, drawing a large number of visitors. “There was heavy footfall of tourists inside the Walled City since morning. The number of tourists increased significantly from afternoon. As a result, areas along Badi Chaupar, Chhoti Chaupar, Tripolia Bazaar and Chandpole Bazaar were congested Saturday. We are anticipating a similar situation Sunday,” stated a traffic official.To cope with the rush, the traffic police have put in place a few measures till Jan 10. Officials said the most important among these is a complete ban on movement of e-rickshaws inside the Walled City. In addition, some roads in and around Walled City have been made one-way for traffic movement. tnn
