Jaisalmer: Low visibility due to dense fog led to a road accident in Jaisalmer district Monday morning, leaving 12 people injured, including three schoolchildren. The accident took place around 7:30am when a Bolero camper vehicle carrying passengers returning from a wedding ceremony collided head-on with a bus of SM Public School.Locals took the injured in private vehicles to the district hospital. Five accident victims were referred to Jodhpur in critical condition.Sadar police station officer Premdan Ratnu said police’s preliminary investigation indicated that dense fog caused the collision. Authorities praised the quick response of local villagers, whose immediate transporting of the injured to hospital was instrumental in saving lives.
