Jaipur: Rajasthan boys and girls teams won the bronze medals at the 35th Sub Junior Kabaddi Championship held recently in Sonipat, Haryana.Rajasthan Kabaddi Association president Tejaswi Singh Gehlot said that the boys and girls teams have started a new era with their skill display. Their ability and dedication have not only brought glory to the state of Rajasthan but has also set a new standard in the field of kabaddi.The boys and girls teams of Rajasthan have created history with their excellent performance in the 35th Sub-Junior Kabaddi Championship.In the annual tournament, Rajasthan girls defeated Goa 34-17 in the pre-quarterfinal and got the better of Chhattisgarh 54-23 to enter the semi-finals. In the semis, they lost to Tamil Nadu by a solitary point and secured the third position.In the boys’ pre-quarters, Rajasthan trounced Maharashtra 36-26. Thereafter, Rajasthan thrashed Bihar 36-28. However, in the semi-finals, Rajasthan went down fighting against faced Chhattisgarh and settled for a bronze medal.The achievements of this team have not only made the people of Rajasthan proud but have also promoted enthusiasm and passion for kabaddi across the region.
