Jaisalmer: A trailer driver was burnt alive after his vehicle veered out of control and rammed into a divider on the Bharatmala Expressway in the Mandali police station area of Balotra district Monday night. The impact triggered a massive fire that engulfed the trailer, leaving the driver no chance to escape. His identity is yet to be confirmed.Mandali police station officer Kiran Kumar said the trailer, coming from Gujarat, crashed near Rodwa village and caught fire immediately. Police and fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control within 30 minutes. The vehicle was carrying sacks of white powder chemicals, the nature of which is being investigated. The fire spread rapidly due to the intensity of the collision, police said. tnn
