Alwar: A court of Additional District and Sessions Judge No. 3 Thursday convicted 10 people and sentenced them to life imprisonment in connection with the murder of a man and assault on several others in Gurjarpur Khurd in 2019.The court also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 each on the convicts. They will undergo additional imprisonment in case of default in payment of the fine.Govt lawyer Ajit Yadav said the court delivered its verdict in Sessions Case No. 61/2018 on the basis of witness statements, medical reports and other evidence.The case dates back to June 17, 2019, when Bhimvati was alone at her boring in Gurjarpur Khurd. The accused allegedly reached the spot and assaulted and misbehaved with her. People who gathered after hearing the commotion were also allegedly attacked, leaving several injured.Banshilal sustained serious injuries in the incident and later died. Witness Kanwarpal told the court that his father, Banshilal, had been struck on the head with a farsi.The court convicted 10 accused under Section 302/149 and sentenced them to rigorous life imprisonment.
