Jaisalmer: A man who strangulated his wife to death on the night of Nov 19 in Sangadh police station area of Jaisalmer has been arrested and taken into remand, police said Monday. The case was lodged on Nov 20 by the woman’s brother, who stated that his sister, Guddi Devi, was killed by her husband, Khimaram Bhil, who had long been harassing her for giving birth to five daughters and just one son.Superintendent of police Abhishek Shivhare ordered that a police team be formed to investigate the case. The team conducted a swift investigation and arrested Khimaram after interrogating him. He was presented before court and taken into police remand, an officer said.
