Jaipur: Two minor sisters, who were missing for nearly six months, found living secretly in a rented house in Vikas Nagar, Jamdoli, Wednesday, said Murlipura police. Police handed the girls, aged 16 and 17, over to their grandmother after they refused to return to their parents’ home.Officials said the sisters, residents of Murlipura, left home after being distressed by frequent fights between their parents, who work as labourers. Around six months ago, after one such quarrel, the girls told the family they were leaving for Khatushyamji. When they did not return, their relatives lodged an FIR at Murlipura police station back in May. Despite an extensive search, the girls could not be traced for months. Police then examined mobile numbers of several relatives and acquaintances. Officers said analysis of call details produced a lead, following which a team reached a house in Jamdoli where the sisters were living in hiding. Police found both girls at the rented accommodation and brought them to the station. During questioning, the sisters said they left home because they were troubled by their parents’ frequent disputes and alleged that their father harassed them after consuming alcohol. They told police they were working and living independently to live peacefully. Since the minors did not want to return to their parents, police handed them over to their grandmother in accordance with procedure.
