Jaipur: The bypoll for Anta assembly constituency Tuesday has 2,28,264 registered voters who will choose from among three candidates: Cong’s Pramod Jain Bhaya, BJP’s Morpal Suman, and Independent Naresh Meena. Voting will take place at 268 polling stations from 7am to 6pm.State’s chief electoral officer Naveen Mahajan said strict arrangements have been made. Police force has been deployed with each polling team. Seven companies of CAPF (Central Armed Police Force) will be deployed at sensitive and critical polling centres. In all, 3,077 police personnel have been deployed.Along with this, 12 quick response teams, 43 mobile parties, 43 sector magistrates, 12 police supervisory officers, 12 area magistrates, 4 senior police supervisors, and 4 senior administrative officers have been appointed. Thirteen inter-state checkpoints and five inter-district checkpoints are active, where checking is being done under supervision of armed forces.Webcasting arrangements have been made at all booths. For this, control rooms have been set up at district headquarters and the returning officer’s office, where teams of IT dept, police, and administrative officers will maintain 24-hour surveillance.Mahajan said 268 active polling teams and 29 reserve polling teams have been formed, with a total of 1,240 personnel. Besides, 41 micro-observers and 52 videographer observers have also been appointed. Five green polling centres have been set up, eight women-run polling centres, and specially-abled persons will run nine polling centres, Mahajan said.
