NEW DELHI: More than 50 students from a government school in Chudiyavas, Dausa district, were admitted to hospital after falling ill, reportedly due to food poisoning on Saturday.District collector Devendra Kumar said on Saturday that the students experienced stomachaches and headaches after consuming food at the school. “Almost 15 to 20 students were referred to the District Hospital, Dausa. The preliminary reason is that the food they had was possibly of substandard quality,” he added.Kumar confirmed that the children are now in a stable condition. “We have sent two teams for investigation at the district level, a food safety officer to inspect the food and a team from the education department to determine what was lacking in the nutrition,” he said.Authorities have assured strict action against those found responsible. “We will investigate the quality of the food, and strict action will be taken against those guilty,” Kumar said.
