Jaipur: The JJM mission director of Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has given necessary permissions to the empaneled agencies of Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL) to set up solar plants inside the premises of PHED’s facilities for the next 25 years.Speaking to TOI, a senior PHED official said, RRECL recently empaneled different agencies to set up solar plants on the rooftop or on the ground of the premises of state govt departments. These agencies would install solar plants on HAM for the next 25 years. “Following a directive from the state govt, the JJM mission director Ravindra Goswami, issued a circular to allow these agencies to carry out inspections inside the different facilities of PHED. During these inspections, the agencies would determine the number of solar panels to be installed in different premises of the PHED,” the official added.The superintending engineers were appointed as the nodal officers for this programme in their respective jurisdictions. The SEs would give approval to the survey reports of these agencies to commence the installation works. “However, we are going to give approval only after keeping free spaces inside our premises to augment our facilities to a catering capacity for the next 30 years,” an official said. tnn
