Three kanwariyas die as truck hits tractor-trolley

Alwar: Three kanwariyas were killed and one injured when a truck collided with a tractor-trolley on Jaipur-Bareilly highway Thursday early morning. The injured is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Mathura. SP city (Mathura) Rajeev Kumar informed the media that eight devotees from Bayana in Bharatpur district had gone to Soronji in Kasganj (UP) to collect Ganga water. On the way, four were walking while four were on the tractor-trolley. Around 3 am Thursday, a truck’s tyre burst on the Bareilly-Jaipur highway, causing the vehicle to lose control and collide with the tractor-trolley. As a result, three people on the tractor-trolley, Bhupendra Dhakad (32), Bheem Singh (52), and Raman alias Babli (48), lost their lives, while Sonu (30) was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. All the devotees were residents of Lahchora Kalan village in Bayana, Bharatpur. After receiving the news, villagers reached Mathura and brought back the bodies for the last rites.
