Jaipur: City police Thursday announced the arrest of eight individuals, including the prime suspect, in the killing of 22-year-old Vipin Kumar in Paldi Meena under the Jamdoli police station limits Sunday night.Police said the main accused, Mohammad Anas, who allegedly stabbed Vipin Kumar near the latter’s home, was initially detained Monday. He was shot in the leg while trying to flee police custody and was admitted to hospital. Anas was formally arrested Thursday following his discharge.Kumar’s father filed an FIR stating that Vipin went to a nearby grocery store when a group led by Anas, including Shadab, Dawood, Shoaib, Aman, and 10–12 others, arrived on 2–3 motorcycles and surrounded him. They then attacked him with knives, leading to his death. “A case was registered promptly, and the investigation was initiated under the supervision of ACP (Adarsh Nagar) Lakshmi Suthar,” said a police statement.The arrested accused have been identified as Mohammad Anas (30), Shadab Khan (20), Mohammad Daud (20), Danish (18), Mohammad Farman (18), Gulzar (21), Arman Qureshi alias Aman (18), and Riyan alias Bittu (22).
