Jaipur: The city police Monday busted a sextortion racket in which a gang used a popular dating app to target, trap, and blackmail men by posing as cybercrime officials. DCP (South) Digant Anand said that the accused — Man Singh Gurjar and Surendra Gurjar, both residents of Tonk — were arrested from a PG room in the Bajri Mandi area based on a complaint filed at the Shipra Path police station. “The accused allegedly recorded explicit videos of their victims and extorted money by threatening to leak the footage online,” Anand said.He also said that based on the complaint by one of the victims, a case number has been registered. “Given the seriousness of the offence, a dedicated team was formed under the supervision of additional DCP Lalit Kumar Sharma and ACP Aditya Kakde, led by SHO Rajendra Godara. tnn
