Jaipur: A family dispute and simmering resentment over personal relationships drove a 22-year-old man to kill his two young nephews before taking his own life in Dholpur district, police said Monday, revealing the motive behind the Oct 21 incident. The accused, Vishnu Kumar, allegedly killed Sunny (10) and Manav (8) before hanging himself from a babul tree in a field near Pura Sikroda village in the Kanchanpur area. After taking them to a field, he allegedly killed them by smothering them before hanging himself from a tree using a plastic rope.Police said the investigation focused on the family’s circumstances, interpersonal tensions and the sequence of events leading to the deaths. Officers also examined the circumstances surrounding Vishnu’s movements before the incident. The case came to light on Oct 21, when the bodies were discovered. Police officials, including senior officers, visited the spot as investigators began examining evidence and questioning relatives to establish what had led to the deaths.Police said further investigation was conducted to corroborate the sequence of events and establish the circumstances behind the killings and suicide.
