Jaipur: Two men from Dholpur were arrested for robbing a salon owner at gunpoint in his home in Muhana area, police said Thursday. DCP (south) Digant Anand said the accused were identified as Akash Yadav (30) and Imran (20). The incident occurred on May 29, when the complainant, Naveen Sen (24), a barber and owner of Hi-Fi Salon in Mansarovar, was alone at his house in Ratansagar Colony in Muhana. Around 8pm, two masked men arrived, pointed a gun at him, tied his hands and feet, and forced him to lie face down. They then demanded cupboard keys and looted cash, four gold rings, a necklace, and anklets before locking the door from outside and fleeing. Sen managed to untie himself and called his uncle for help.A case was registered at the Muhana police station against unknown suspects.Anand said the police team examined footage from nearly 1,000 CCTV cameras in the Muhana and Mansarovar areas, which showed two suspects entering and later leaving the scene on foot. The suspects were later traced to Dholpur.Yadav, known to the complainant, was arrested from Bari in Dholpur, while Imran was held from another location in the district. Both confessed to their involvement. Police said that Akash had prior knowledge of valuables kept in Sen’s house and was motivated by his father’s illness. He kept surveillance while Imran and a third accomplice, Bhura Pandit alias Arpit Sharma, executed the robbery.Pandit is still absconding. He has nearly two dozen prior criminal cases, while Yadav is implicated in about a dozen, including charges of assault, murder, and armed robbery.
