Jaipur: Nearly three months after a 58-year-old man was found hanging near his house, his wife lodged a murder case against four men at Kalwad police station Sunday.The FIR case was registered following the complaint lodged through a court order. In the complaint, she alleged that they killed him and staged his death as a suicide to pressure the family into withdrawing a gang-rape case.According to police, the man was found hanging from a rope near his house on July 5.His wife alleged that the four accused had been threatening the family after a case was registered against them over the alleged kidnapping and gang rape of their 23-year-old daughter in June. Police had arrested four men in connection with that case.“On July 5, the girl’s father was found hanging from a rope near his house, and a suicide case was registered. During that time, the family did not blame anyone for the suicide. Now, we have received a complaint through the court’s order and have lodged a case of murder,” said a senior police officer of Kalwad police station.Police did not disclose the deceased’s identity to protect the identity of his daughter, a rape survivor.
