Jaipur: Even before the first rays of the morning sun appeared, the sound of running footsteps transformed the atmosphere on Jaipur’s streets. As over 10,000 runners moved in unison, the Aadhar Prime Green Fit Half Marathon resonated with messages of both fitness and environmental conservation.Participants from 17 states across the country and from abroad championed the cause of “Healthy India, Green India, Clean India—A People’s Movement.”
Immense enthusiasm witnessed across the 21km, 10km, and 5km runs, as well as the 3km Fun Run during the Aadhar Prime Green Fit Half Marathon in Jaipur on Sunday
Organised by the GreenFit Foundation — and powered by Khandelwal Heart Institute with co-sponsorship from GCL Dreams — the event saw significant participation from the Jaipur Municipal Corporation and support from FORTI.Virendra Singh, founder of the GreenFit Foundation, stated that the marathon was flagged off by chief guest and Rajasthan Deputy CM Diya Kumari, alongside guests of honour Jaipur MP Manju Sharma; senior military officer (North-Western Command) P S Shekhawat; Subhash Goyal of the Jaipur Vyapar Mahasangh; and Ujjwal Punia, managing director of Aadhar Prime.

Several dignitaries attended the event, including Ravi Singhal and Mahesh Yadav (GCL Dreams); Ajay Agarwal (Foundation Mentor); Sanjay Khandelwal (Khandelwal Heart Institute); Preeti Saxena (President, Lions Club Demand); Avinash Saini (Rehab Health Care); and Bollywood singer Ravindra Upadhyay.Speaking on the occasion, Deputy CM Diya Kumari stated that the ‘Fit India’ and ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ (Clean India Mission) are not merely government initiatives but campaigns driven by public participation. A healthy mind is built upon a healthy body, and maintaining a clean environment around us is equally essential for a healthy life.Along with making fitness a part of their daily routine, every individual should also fulfill their responsibility towards environmental conservation. She called for raising awareness about cleanliness, health, and environmental conservation, and for transforming these causes into a mass movement.As a special initiative of the marathon, every participant was presented with a sapling. The organisers stated that the objective of the marathon was not just to inspire people to run, but also to integrate environmental conservation alongside a healthy lifestyle into their daily lives. Upon receiving the saplings, the participants pledged to promote greenery and advance the message of environmental conservation.
Winners took home prize money totaling over Rs 2.55 lakh
