Bhilwara: Chittorgarh police arrested two men, including a Rs 3,000 reward-carrying accused wanted in an NDPS case, and recovered an illegal pistol, magazine and four live cartridges from them Thursday, officials said.The action was carried out jointly by the district special team (DST) and Sadar police under a special drive against illegal weapons and suspicious nighttime activities.Chittorgarh SP Dharmendra Singh said a team was formed under Sadar SHO Prem Singh after DST in-charge ASI Suraj Kumar received information that a reward-carrying accused in an NDPS case registered at Thanwala police station in Nagaur district was staying in a flat at an apartment in Sidhi Colony and carrying an illegal weapon.Acting on the tip-off, police raided the flat and found two men, identified as Bhairulal Teli and Bajrang Vishnoi.Police recovered an illegal pistol with one live cartridge from the flat. Three additional live cartridges were found in a Fortuner car allegedly being used by the accused.Both men were arrested under the Arms Act and the vehicle was seized, police said.Officials said one of the accused was wanted in the NDPS case registered at Thanwala police station. Police are now investigating the source of the weapon and whether the accused have links to other criminal activities.Further investigation is underway.
