23-year-old nursing student was allegedly stabbed to death by his friend following an argument over pushing a motorcycle in Udaipur

Udaipur: A 23-year-old nursing student was allegedly stabbed to death by his friend following an argument over pushing a motorcycle in Udaipur’s Sector-14 area under Savina police station limits Wednesday, police said.The deceased was identified as Dinesh Meena, a resident of Savina Kheda and a second-year student at Vagad Nursing College in Dakan Kotda. According to his family, Dinesh left home saying he was going to get a bike repaired.Savina police station station house officer Gajveer Singh Solanki said investigation revealed that Dinesh, Lalit Gameti and another friend were travelling together on a motorcycle when Dinesh and Lalit got into an argument over pushing the bike. In a fit of rage, Lalit allegedly stabbed Dinesh with a knife before fleeing the spot.The third friend rushed Dinesh to MB Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. On Thursday, his family and members of the community staged a sit-in outside the hospital mortuary, refusing to allow the post-mortem until the accused was arrested. Police later detained the accused, after which the post-mortem was conducted.
