Jaipur: Sikar defeated Udaipur on the basis of first innings lead to emerge champions in the State level Senior Colvin Shield cricket tournament at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium here on Sunday.The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) ad hoc committee member Ashish Tiwari, while congratulating the winning and runner-up teams of the competition on this occasion, said that final was the most exciting match in the history of RCA, which shows how much talent the young players of Rajasthan have, they just need to be provided a proper opportunity, for which the RCA ad hoc committee is working at an intensive level.“Along with encouraging our players, we should also boost their morale. The RCA ad hoc committee will consider the proposal of giving cash prize money to the winning and runner-up teams of the state level competitions and will soon release it,” he said.Ashish Tiwari, while congratulating the specially invited women’s team of Sikar, winner of the state level senior women’s competition, on the occasion of the prize distribution ceremony of the competition, said that the daughters of Sikar are continuously performing brilliantly and we have full hope that soon they will represent the state and the country and enhance the honour of us and the entire state.On this occasion, member Sushil Jain praised the RCA ad-hoc Committee, the officials associated with various official works of the competition and especially the male and female players for the successful organization of the state level Senior Women and Senior Colvin Shield competition by RCA and said that without their cooperation and sports it would have been difficult to make this possible.
