Traffic restrictions inside Walled City today and tomorrow

Jaipur: The Jaipur Traffic Police has announced special traffic arrangements for Thursday and Friday on the occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi and Muharram, respectively, to prevent congestion around religious sites in the Walled City.Officials said that on Thursday, the entry of all vehicles from Sardul Singh Ki Naal towards Jalebi Chowk, Govind Dev Ji Sabzi Mandi towards Govind Dev Ji Temple, and Atish Gate towards Jalebi Chowk will remain prohibited. Parking will also be prohibited from morning till 1 pm on Chaura Rasta, Badi Chaupar, Bapu bazaar, Johari bazaar, Hawa Mahal bazaar, Tripolia bazaar and Gangauri bazaar.On Friday, traffic restrictions will be imposed for Muharram processions as Tazias are brought to Badi Chaupar from different parts of the city. Accordingly, from 8 pm onwards, entry of all vehicles into the Walled City through Sanjay Circle, Ajmeri Gate, New Gate, Sanganeri Gate, Ghat Gate, Galta Gate and Ramgarh Mod will be prohibited.Traffic police said vehicles will be diverted through parallel routes whenever required during the movement of processions.Entry of heavy vehicles into the city will also be barred from Kalwar Puliya, Sirsi Puliya, 200-Feet Ajmer Road Crossing, New Sanganer Mod, Gopalpura Mod, Transport Nagar Crossing, Dhobighat, Ramgarh Mod and Galta Gate Crossing from 8 pm onwards.Most roads within the Walled City will remain no-parking zones from Friday afternoon.
