Jaipur: Teachers and staff in the school education dept can now submit grievances directly to the additional chief secretary through a QR code-based complaint system. QR codes have been installed outside offices at the Secretariat and Shiksha Sankul in Jaipur. The dept said the digital initiative aims to expedite grievance redressal, improve communication and make administrative processes more transparent and accessible. Officials said the facility would particularly benefit employees from remote districts who previously had to travel to Jaipur to pursue their cases. Members of the public can also use the system to lodge complaints related to school buildings, infrastructure and other school-related issues.According to department records, 2,168 grievances were registered through the QR code system in the past month till June 24. Of these, 1,891 have been resolved and responses sent to the complainants via email. A total of 277 cases remain pending, including 98 received in the last three days. The highest number of complaints pertained to promotions and transfers. After scanning the QR code, users are directed to an online form requiring details such as name, email address, mobile number, designation and district of posting. Complainants must then select the grievance category, identify the concerned dept or official and provide details of the issue. Supporting documents can also be uploaded before submission. The grievance is then routed directly to the relevant dept for action.A senior official said all grievances would be reviewed during the weekly meetings held at the Shiksha Sankul auditorium.“The system will help identify districts generating the highest number of complaints and the issues most frequently raised. Based on this data, the dept will formulate future strategies and work towards resolving recurring problems,” the official said.Officials said the portal includes categories such as transfers and postings, promotions, seniority and DPC, pay fixation and arrears, pension and retirement benefits, court cases, infrastructure and basic amenities, and school safety.
