Jaipur: Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, who also chairs the Rajasthan State Road Development and Construction Corporation, on Sunday approved a major loan proposal aimed at speeding up land acquisition for two proposed greenfield expressways in the state at the corporation’s 131st board meeting in Jaipur Sunday.The corporation cleared borrowing of Rs 4,398 crore to fund land purchases for the Kotputli-Kishangarh and Beawar-Bharatpur expressway projects, which are among six planned greenfield corridors in Rajasthan. RSRDC officials said the decision is intended to accelerate construction timelines by ensuring land availability at an early stage.Kumari approved another loan proposal of Rs 460 crore for upgrading the Nasirabad-Sarwar-Kekri-Deoli road (State Highway 26). The package includes the construction of the Kekri bypass and widening of the existing road from two lanes to four lanes to improve capacity and traffic flow.The board also approved an increase in the loan amount for repair work on the Gotan-Bilara-Pundal road, raising it from Rs 17 crore to Rs 27.87 crore. In total, the meeting cleared 33 regular proposals and two additional proposals, including finalisation of the corporation’s balance sheet for the financial year 2024-25.
