Jaisalmer: Union home and cooperative affairs minister Amit Shah Friday honoured BSF deputy commandant Ravindra Rathore, deployed at the Sriganganagar Sector of BSF Rajasthan Frontier, along with three other BSF personnel and officers, with the gallantry medal at the Border Security Force Investiture Ceremony and Rustamji Memorial Lecture programme in New Delhi. The gallantry medal announcement was made on the previous Independence Day.Official BSF sources said that last year in May, on the international border adjoining Sriganganagar in Rajasthan, deputy commandant Ravindra Rathore and his team members inspector Devi Lal, head constable Sahib Singh and constable Kanwaraj Singh displayed extraordinary valour during their deployment and foiled Pakistan’s attempts emanating from across the Pakistani border, risking their own lives. tnn
