Jaipur: Rajasthan Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) arrested a school lecturer for allegedly securing a govt job using forged educational qualifications in the RPSC Agriculture Lecturer (School Education) Exam 2022, officials said.Police identified the accused as Ashok Kumar Yadav, 33, a resident of Chomu in Jaipur district and currently posted as a lecturer (Agriculture) in a govt school in Sikar district.According to ADG (SOG) Vishal Bansal, the case relates to allegations that selected candidates, in collusion with officials of OPJS University in Churu, obtained backdated fake mark sheets of required qualifications, including BEd and MSc Agriculture (Agronomy), to secure appointments.Officials said a case was registered at the SOG police station on March 5 under sections related to cheating, forgery, and criminal conspiracy.During investigation, police found that Yadav applied for the recruitment despite not possessing the required qualifications and allegedly falsified his credentials in the application.He is accused of submitting backdated fake mark sheets of BEd (2020-22) and MSc Agriculture (Agronomy) (2018-20), obtained in collusion with university officials, at the time of appointment.Police said Yadav was arrested on April 29 and produced before a court on Wednesday, which remanded him to five days of police custody.Further investigation is underway to identify other beneficiaries and those involved in facilitating the forged documents.
