Jaipur: CM Bhajan Lal Sharma urged people to take precautions amid the ongoing severe heatwave across Rajasthan and to strictly follow the state govt’s advisory.“Citizens should ensure all necessary precautions to protect themselves from the adverse effects of extreme heat,” the chief minister said, advising children, elderly persons, pregnant women and those with illnesses to take extra care.He urged people to avoid stepping out unnecessarily during peak hours. “People should avoid going out in the sun between 12 noon and 3 pm unless absolutely necessary,” he said.Highlighting the risks of heatstroke, Sharma added, “In case of serious symptoms such as unconsciousness or high fever, immediate medical attention should be sought.” He said people can visit the nearest health centre or contact emergency services on 108 or 112 for timely assistance.The chief minister also appealed to workers, farmers and livestock rearers to remain cautious. “Those working outdoors must take special precautions to prevent heatstroke,” he said.Urging compassion, he added, “People should also ensure that animals and birds have access to food and water during this extreme weather.”Urging compassion, he added, “People should also ensure that animals and birds have access to food and water during this extreme weather.
