Jaipur: Cool weather conditions continued in Rajasthan Sunday, with cloud cover, light rainfall, and subdued temperatures prevailing across several districts, indicating the lingering impact of a western disturbance.According to the latest observations, maximum temperatures across the state ranged between 25°C and 35°C, 1 to 3 degrees below normal. Barmer was the warmest, with a maximum temperature of 35.2°C.Mid-week rainfall provided relief from heat wave conditions but also badly affected the Rabi crop. Farmers in Jodhpur complained of damage to the cumin (jeera) crop, while farmers in Jaisalmer reported damage to isabgol. Likewise, the crop of wheat has been damaged in several districts, including in Alwar, Sikar, and Jhunjhunu.The weather pattern has been in contrast to typical March conditions, which are usually hot and dry with limited rainfall.Rainfall activity, though scattered, was reported in a few pockets of the state on Sunday. Jaisalmer received the highest rainfall at 13.1 mm, followed by Sikar with 10 mm. Light showers were also recorded in parts of Churu, Pilani and adjoining areas.In Jaipur, a maximum temperature of 31.2°C amidst cloudy conditions and a minimum of 19.7°C was recorded. No rainfall was witnessed throughout the day; however, the city experienced partly cloudy skies, with intermittent sunshine and a pleasant dip in heat.The Met office Jaipur said similar conditions are likely to persist over the next 24 hours. The forecast suggests partly to generally cloudy skies, with chances of light rain and thunderstorm activity in isolated areas.Temperatures in Jaipur are expected to remain stable, with a maximum around 30°C and a minimum near 21°C.Met office said weather conditions are likely to be pleasant across the state for the next one week as there is no possibility of heat wave conditions.
