Jaipur: A passenger from Delhi was bitten on the leg by a dog at Terminal 2 of Jaipur International Airport Sunday, airport officials said. They said the incident occurred when the passenger was leaving the airport. The dog bit her outside the arrival area gate, leaving her bleeding. Officials said she was given immediate medical assistance at the airport and rushed to the nearest hospital.Airport officials said the dog had been vaccinated and sterilised by Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC), and that the airport will strengthen its fencing system to prevent such incidents. Dr Rakesh Kaloriya of the animal management wing of JMC said, “The passenger was given treatment and was discharged from hospital. The dog in this incident was vaccinated and sterilised as per norms and released from where it was picked. We will work to prevent such incidents in future.”
